Dr. Philip Santiago

The name, Philip T. Santiago, DC, is synonymous with “sports chiropractic.” A virtual trailblazer in that specialized chiropractic area, Dr. Santiago was one of the first chiropractors to be chosen as a member of the US Olympic Team Medical Staff for the Games of the XXV Olympiad in Barcelona, Spain.

Growing up as a child in the Santiago family, dinner conversation invariably turned to the subject of chiropractic. As the son of two chiropractor parents, and the sibling of a chiropractor brother and sister, Dr. Santiago is steeped in chiropractic tradition and an inbred love of helping others to get and stay well.

A graduate of New York Chiropractic College and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dr. Santiago is a renowned lecturer throughout the United States, Latin America and Europe on the topics of Sports Medicine and Fitness. Dr. Santiago is also a clinical professor and Chairman of the Department of Sports Medicine for New York Chiropractic College.

Named “Chiropractor of the Year” in New Jersey in 1990, he also received the honor of being named “Sports Physician of the Year” by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) in 1993. Most recently, Dr. Santiago received the recognition of his peers when he was inducted into the ACA’s Sports Medicine Hall of Fame in 2005.

Dr. Santiago is no stranger to the sports arena himself, with a background that includes distinction as an All American collegiate and professional soccer player. He also served on the collegiate level as head soccer coach at the New York Institute of Technology and Montclair State University.

Dr. Santiago believes in giving back to his community as well as his profession. He maintains active memberships in the local and county Chambers of Commerce, serves as Vice Chairman of Morris County Crime Stoppers, and organization he helped to found, and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the County College of Morris.

Dr. Santiago is a much sought after lecturer and consultant in sports medicine and anti-aging and is a published author many times over in these specialties. His background also includes serving on the Board of the American Academy on Anti-Aging Medicine.
